These beautiful wildflowers were blooming in the Anza-Borrego National Park near Borrego Springs, CA. The bright yellow desert sunflowers and desert verbena are native to sandy areas in the California desert. They were so spectacular when I visited there last May
for photos and inspiration. I couldn’t wait to paint them!
